Background
To establish and certify the standard of technical education and vocational training in Gandaki Pradesh and to develop human resources in accordance with the market demand by arranging technical education and vocational training. The foundation has a 24-member assembly and a five-member working committee with the chief minister as the custodian of the state government.
The academy aims to transform the current education system, which is dominated by general education, into an educational system by producing skilled technical and professional manpower directly connected to the labor market. The establishment is expected to play an important role in the proper development of agriculture, energy, industry, human resources, infrastructure, tourism and good governance, the seven main drivers of prosperity prioritized by the state government. The organization is expected to make significant contributions to achieving the goals of sustainable development by mobilizing capital at the local level, preserving traditional skills and using developed digital technology and skills to become self-employed. Initially established in a room inside the premises of the Ministry of Social Development, the establishment is currently operating in a rented house located in the dam side of Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 17. The Foundation has acquired 160 ropanis of land in Ward No. 1 Gurdhum of Fedikhola Village Municipality of Syangja District for the development of integrated model technical village development for conducting short and long term training and other administrative tasks.
